How we assess your website
We use both automated and user testing methods to assess your website. First, we will first look at the quality of the code, based on the standards set out in the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG). We will be searching for errors that are in the code and will affect how usable the site is.
User testing will assess how usable your content is. FInd out whether user testing is necessary. We will assess how well the site works with assistive technology. The best way of finding out problems in the user interface and design is through user testing. Our testers will provide that real-life feedback that makes the difference!
When we have completed the check, we will produce a mini report outlining a few key issues. This report offers you support and advice on how to ensure your site meets the WCAG guidelines.
Public sector bodies have a responsibility to ensure their services are accessible. In September 2018 the public sector legislation was made UK law. By 2020, all public sector bodies must have accessible websites that conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA. This report will provide you with an idea of how your site performs and its current level of accessibility. Accessibility audits can be used to create an accessibility statement, something that all public bodies must have to conform with with the regulations.
