Ilkeston based web design company HeX Productions has created a brand new website for Nottingham’s vulnerable.
Part of Nottingham City Homes, the new Nottingham On Call website provides access to sensors and door alarms for homes of the elderly, as well as pendants that can be worn and pressed to alert someone in case of an emergency.
Hex Productions was responsible for the design, production and installation of the website, and also worked on the infographics and images to be featured online.
Creative Director of the company, James Hall, said: “We wanted to make the website’s main focus it’s easy accessibility. We wanted the site to be easy to use for the elderly, their friends and their family, so we used a clear design, and kept the content basic and easily understandable.”
HeX Productions also installed a ‘Refer a Friend’ service, where if you tell someone else about the service, you can get a £25 gift voucher to spend at the Victoria Centre in Nottingham.
Nottingham On Call offers a Personal Trigger, a Smoke Detector, a Medication Reminder/Dispenser, a bed and chair occupancy sensor, as well as an iVi Intelligent Pendant that will automatically generate a call for assistance if a fall is detected.
The service works 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year as a monitoring and response service. The company takes 25,000 phone calls a month, 1,500 of which are critical.
Operators stay on the line until help is at the door and the situation is being taken care of.
