Our BSL Translator, Simon, answers questions about being Deaf and gives his view on certain issues around Deaf access.

Simon explains a day in his life and the barriers he faces; his trip to the shops, his barriers with supermarket staff, and finally meeting someone who he can communicate with in his own language.

Last month, the HeX Productions team organised a D/deaf awareness training course in conjunction with Director of ablemedia and Deaf Awareness Trainer/British Sign Language translator, Memnos Costi.
